The kit uses two ultra bright red LEDs, which flash rapidly, providing a highly visible light.

LED Torch Project Kit

The LED torch uses a 5000 mCd ultra bright white LED.  Power is supplied by an N size 12 volt battery, which is included in the kit. The torch comes complete with a slide on off switch.

Timed Night Light Project Kit

An electronics project with real life application.   Students complete the circuitry following the instructions and then the real design begins.  What will the night light look like?  This design challenge allows a range of possible fabrication processes.  If your school has laser cutting, vacuum forming or CNC capability then put them to good use.  

The colour changing LED on this kit turns on when it goes dark and stays on for a period of time.This makes a good night light and because the LED is only on for a small amount of time the batteries last much longer. There is an on board trimmer to set the light level at which the LED turns on and another trimmer to set how long the LED stays on for. 

The maximum duration is about 30 minutes. When set to 15 minutes and activated once a night the batteries will last two months.

USB Lamp Project Kit

MP3 Mono Amplifier Project Kit

This audio amplifier kit can be used with any personal stereo equipment, including MP3 players.  It uses a TBA820M audio amplifier IC which can output 1.6W of power. The kit is supplied with a PP3 battery clip and can run off any voltage from 3 to 16 volts. Now supplied with pre-built jack cable.

Stereo Ipod Dock Project Kit (3.5mm jack version)

Inline Switches

Small cord switches (black).

These inline switches accept the light gauge cable used inthe Ecolamp project. Wire strippers are needed to remove the insulation and to remove a section from one of the wires. A fine tipped soldering iron is recommended to connect the wires to the terminals.

LED Strip

10mm double line of LEDs for maximum brightness, enough for one class.
